The Power of Love is een nummer van de Britse band Frankie Goes to Hollywood. Het nummer verscheen op hun debuutalbum Welcome to the Pleasuredome uit 1984. Op 19 november van dat jaar werd het nummer uitgebracht als de derde single van het album. Het was tevens de derde nummer 1-single van de band in thuisland het Verenigd Koninkrijk, waarmee zij de eerste artiest sinds Gerry & the Pacemakers in 1964 werden die deze prestatie leverde.

"The Power of Love" is a 1984 single released by British band Frankie Goes to Hollywood which was written by Holly Johnson, Peter Gill, Mark O'Toole and Brian Nash. It was released on 19 November 1984 as the third single from the album Welcome to the Pleasuredome (1984).

The song has long been regarded as a Christmas song, despite having no reference to Christmas within the song lyrics. However, the accompanying video features the Nativity of Jesus, and the single cover was The Assumption of the Virgin. The single spent one week at number one in the United Kingdom, being outsold only by "Do They Know It's Christmas?" by Band Aid.
